Time to plant?
Some of the seedlings planted by the junior grades were looking really desperate to get outside int the sunshine and the real garden beds.
The weather was beautiful and warm and so we thought we could give it a try.
Mrs Gillett helped us to transplant beetroot, which didn't work vey well. The roots were stuck to the bottoms of the egg cartons that we had planted them in.
The strawberry plants looked happy though, as did the lettuce which had surprised us with its speedy sprouting!

Adding Nutrients to the Soil
The Grade 3/4 students dug some soil conditioner into Garden Bed Three in preparation for corn, zucchini, cucumber and tomatoes to be planted.
